Being straight with you
Why free, and what would change it.
KTL is small and run by people who use it. It costs us very little to run one more couple, so charging you for the core of it would be charging for the sake of it.
If money ever enters the picture it will be for cosmetics — extra themes, outfits for Rex, that sort of thing — and capacity, like more photo storage. The relationship features are not going behind a paywall. Nobody should have to pay to tell someone they are cute.
If that ever changes, existing couples get told in the app first, not by finding a locked door where a feature used to be.
