About
A game you cannot win, on purpose.
KTL started as a private joke between two people in different cities and turned into the thing they opened first every morning.
Distance hides effort. When you share a kitchen, making someone a coffee is visible. From several hundred miles away the same care is invisible unless you narrate it, and narrating it every day feels forced.
So we put a number on it. Not to turn affection into a competition, but to make effort legible — to give the small stuff somewhere to land and something to add up to.
What we believe
Five rules we build against.
You cannot earn your own XP
Every point you have came from your partner spending energy on you. Your level is not a measure of how hard you worked at the app. It is a record of how often someone thought about you.
Scarcity is the feature
Six energy a day, no stacking. If you could send unlimited boosts they would be worth nothing. The cap is what keeps “you are cute” from turning into noise.
A missed day should cost almost nothing
Streaks that punish one bad week do not survive their first bad week. Freezes exist so real life — a work trip, a flat battery, a time zone — does not wipe out two months of showing up.
No comparing yourselves to strangers
There is no global leaderboard and there never will be. The only two people in your world are the two people in your world.
Nothing invented
Monthly Wrapped is built only from things that actually happened. We would rather show you a thin month honestly than pad it.
