For professionals

For counsellors and coaches working with clients apart

If you work with couples navigating distance, deployment, study abroad or immigration-driven separation, here is what KTL actually does and does not do.

What it is

A small daily ritual, not a treatment plan.

KTL gives two people a handful of asynchronous habits: a daily boost, a shared question that stays sealed until both answer, a map that only fills in where they have actually been. None of it needs a set call time, which matters for clients whose schedules genuinely do not line up.

It also makes effort visible in a way conversation alone often does not. A client who struggles to notice or show effort between sessions has, in KTL, a small record of exactly that: what got sent, what got answered, what got missed.

Being clear

What it is not.

KTL is not a therapy tool, has no clinical review behind it, and is not built or positioned as one. It does not replace session work, and it is not designed to surface or manage anything beyond a couple choosing to send each other small things across a gap. Treat it as a low-stakes habit a client might run alongside your work, not a component of it.

Where it might fit

Between sessions, not instead of them.

Streak freezes cover a missed day without penalty, which matters for clients prone to giving up on a habit after one bad week. The whole loop is free, so there is no cost barrier to suggesting it. And because a world holds exactly two people with nothing shared outside it, there is no third party seeing what either of them sends.
