Cupla does not list a public pricing page on their site as of this writing, so we genuinely cannot tell you what it costs. If pricing matters to you before you commit, that is worth asking them directly.
Design
Built for apart, or built for together.
KTL only exists because two people were in different cities. Every part of the loop, from boosts to Talking Hearts to the streak, is asynchronous on purpose, so nothing expires because one of you was asleep in the wrong time zone.
Cupla is a shared calendar and organiser first. Long-distance couples are one audience among several they write for, alongside parents coordinating babysitters and couples living in the same house. That is not a knock on it, it is just a different starting point.

Cupla appears to have home-screen widgets and a dark mode, based on posts on their own site about both. KTL does not have OS-level widgets today: we put that effort into the full app instead, which installs to your home screen and opens in one tap.
Cupla also publishes a lot more, including a dedicated section for parents arranging babysitters. If that is what you need day to day, it is worth a look.

Is KTL really free, unlike some competitors?
Yes. Every feature on this site is free for both of you today: no trial, no card, no paywalled tier. If that ever changes it will be for cosmetics, not the relationship features.
Can I switch from another couples app to KTL?
Yes. There is nothing to import and nothing to cancel first. One of you starts a world, the other joins with an invite code, and you are both in within about a minute.
Does KTL have home-screen widgets like some other apps?
Not yet. KTL installs to your home screen as a full app you open with one tap, which is where our effort has gone instead. If that changes, it will show up on the features page first.
